1. Overview:
The working principle of the HG series drum dryer is to allow
liquid or slurry materials to form a thin film on the drum surface
heated by water vapor or other heat carriers. The drying is
completed during one rotation of the drum. The product is scraped
off with a scraper, and the exposed drum surface contacts the raw
material again and forms a thin film for drying.
(1) Steam is used as the heat source, with a large heating area,
high thermal efficiency, and uniform heating. (2) The drying rate
is high, and the heat and mass transfer process of the wet material
film on the drum wall is consistent from the inside to the outside,
with a large temperature gradient, so that the surface of the
material film maintains a high evaporation temperature. (3) The
drying time is short, about 10-15S, suitable for heat-sensitive
materials. (4) Easy to operate and maintain.
HG series drum dryer is composed of main drum, frame, feeding
device (upper feeding or lower soaking), driving mechanism, spiral
feeding device, dust collecting device, scraper device and other
components.
Drum scraper dryer is a liquid or slurry forming and drying
equipment. It can cool and crystallize high-temperature saturated
salt solution into solid flakes, or heat and dry slurry into solid
flakes. It cools or heats through the cylinder wall, has high heat
transfer efficiency, and is an ideal equipment for crystallization
in continuous production lines. The machine has a compact structure
and is easy to operate.
2. Components:
This equipment mainly consists of a rotatable hollow cylinder, a
scraper and a clamping device, cooling water (heating medium) inlet
and outlet pipes, a transmission system, a frame, and control
electrical appliances.
3. Electrical control:
Drum scraper dryer uses an electromagnetic speed regulating motor
(or variable frequency motor) to adjust the drum speed according to
the production and product quality requirements.
4. Safety technical operating procedures:
Before using this machine, you should read the entire instruction
manual and then turn it on.
Start the machine:
⑴ First check whether there is oil in the motor reduction gearbox
and whether the wires are connected reliably.
⑵ Whether the pipeline is connected reliably.
⑶ Whether the material tank is clean and free of debris.
⑷ Whether the steam (heat transfer oil) pipeline is connected
reliably.
After the above inspections are completed, turn on the main power
supply and turn on the buttons on the control panel. Check whether
the motor direction at each point is correct.
⑴ Turn on the main power switch in the control cabinet and press
the main power button on the panel.
⑵ Press the main motor button of the drum dryer to listen to the
sound of the motor running and whether the drum runs smoothly and
normally. Note that the scraper should be separated from the drum
before turning on the rotating motor.
⑶ Open the steam valve to the set pressure (≤0.6Mpa). Preheat the
drum for 2 to 3 hours, so that the drum expands evenly as a whole,
and then open the steam heating valve (≤0.2Mpa) of the exhaust hood
and the feeding tank.
⑷ Slowly move the scraper against the drum, and adjust the
fine-tuning bolt according to the interval to make the scraper
close to the drum without damaging the surface of the drum.
⑸ Open the dehumidification fan and the slurry feed valve at the
same time to control the feeding speed.
Open the splash shaft and adjust the speed to evenly distribute the
material.
⑹ Adjust the pressure of the scraper again according to the
material sticking situation so that the material on the drum
surface can be scraped off smoothly, but do not be too tight to
damage the drum surface.
(7) Open the discharging cage and the discharging fan.
(8) Check whether the drum end surface is clean. Check whether the
material level is normal and adjust the feed amount according to
the liquid level.
Shutdown:
⑴ First turn off the slurry feed valve.
⑵ Turn off all steam inlet valves.
⑶ Turn off the splasher.
(4) When the material on the drum surface is scraped clean, turn
off the main motor power, the exhaust fan, the discharging cage and
the discharging fan.
(5) Clean the site.
Before installing the equipment, all installation components should
be fully inspected, and the flatness of the foot should be less
than 2/1000.
Installation should be arranged according to the general layout.
The ground should be flat and the steam pipe (heat transfer oil)
should be installed. A pressure reducing valve and a pressure gauge
should be installed at the inlet. The steam inlet flanges should be
firmly connected.
Turn the main motor to observe whether the main drum is turning
correctly.
Observe whether the main drum and each transmission component
rotate flexibly, whether the steam inlet and outlet are connected,
and whether the pressure gauge is within the working pressure
range.
Start the motor, the main drum runs smoothly, and after the
temperature rises, adjust the motor speed and the uniformity of the
material film on the drum after adding the material to control the
final moisture content of the material.
Start the auger motor to output the dried finished material, and
adjust the auger motor speed according to the amount of dried
finished products.
Precautions
1. Operators must stick to their posts and concentrate their minds.
2. Before starting, check whether the power supply is normal and
observe the three-phase voltage through voltage switching.
3. The buttons on the operation panel must be operated in the order
of the operating procedures.
Maintenance and overhaul
1. After the equipment has been running for a period of time, the
scraper clamping force should be adjusted.
2. The lubricating oil of each reducer should be replaced every six
months, and the lubricating oil of the main shaft bearing should be
replaced regularly.
3. When the equipment is not used for a long time, all the
remaining materials in the trough should be cleaned to prevent the
materials from being hard and difficult to remove, which will
affect future use.
4. Regularly check the flexibility of the rotating parts and
whether there is any jamming. Gears and other parts should be
regularly greased, and the errors of measuring devices such as
pressure gauges should be regularly corrected. (V-belt transmission
parts with severe wear should be replaced in time.)
5. For details on the maintenance of motors and reducers, please
refer to the maintenance instructions for motors and reducers.
